What about ad blocking in Chrome?
Chrome on mobile doesn't support extensions, so we can't offer AdBlock as a browser extension for Chrome on Android or iPhone. If you use Chrome, you can still block ads at the network level using AdBlock VPN (Premium) — but keep in mind it blocks fewer ads than our dedicated apps, since it can't distinguish first-party ads from actual content. For the best ad blocking experience, we recommend using the AdBlock app with Safari on iOS or Samsung Browser on Android.
Can I use AdBlock Premium on mobile?
Yes! We offer AdBlock VPN as a Premium feature on iOS and Android, providing network-level ad blocking.
On iOS we also offer cookie blocking and distraction control — and unlike our desktop extensions, these features are free.
Does AdBlock block ads in YouTube on mobile devices?
We provide limited ad blocking if you view YouTube videos in Safari on iOS or in Samsung Browser on Android.
If you’re a Premium subscriber using the VPN, for the best experience, we recommend watching YouTube in in the native browser rather than the YouTube app, as network-level ad blocking cannot distinguish first-party ads from actual content.
Why do I see more ads on my phone/tablet?
On desktop, AdBlock uses filter lists to block ads, pop-ups, and distractions across Chrome, Firefox, and Edge — and it works great.
Mobile is a different story. Most mobile browsers and operating systems restrict ad-blocking functionality, and some block it entirely. Chrome for mobile, for example, doesn't support ad-blocking extensions at all.
