How to remove malware or adware from your device

If you’re seeing the pop-up ads on every website you visit, or if your browser’s homepage has been changed unexpectedly, it’s possible your browser has been infected by a type of malware known as adware. Adware injects ads into web pages in such a way that they can't be blocked. The only way to get rid of these ads is to remove the malware. How To Check For Malicious Extensions

Chrome

Type about:extensions in the address bar to open the list of extensions. Remove any extensions that you don’t remember installing or that you recently installed (especially if the ads started appearing immediately after you installed it).

Safari
Open the Extensions menu by selecting Safari > Preferences > Extensions. Remove any extensions that you don’t remember installing or that you recently installed (especially if the ads started appearing immediately after you installed it).
Firefox
Type about:addons in the address bar, select Extensions. Remove any extensions that you don’t remember installing or that you recently installed (especially if the ads started appearing immediately after you installed it).
Edge
Type about:extensions in the address bar to open the list of extensions. Remove any extensions that you don’t remember installing or that you recently installed (especially if the ads started appearing immediately after you installed it).
