When we detect YouTube’s anti-adblocking notification, we will automatically pause AdBlock so you can continue watching without disruption. The pause is temporary, so if you leave YouTube and return later, it will remain unpaused until the warning is detected again.
We believe YouTube is intermittently testing strategies to show its anti-adblocking warning. While our filter list authors are working to address these issues, it's a complicated technical effort as YouTube is now displaying the warning within the video itself. In the meantime, we've provided some options below that may help.
-
Make sure another extension isn't triggering the wall. To start, make sure there isn't a different extension or other software triggering the notification to appear. Disable any secondary ad-blocking extensions and other privacy-related extensions that may be causing it to appear. You can learn more about how to do this here: A site still asks me to turn off AdBlock although it's allowlisted or AdBlock is paused.
-
Not another extension? If another extension is not triggering the wall, we recommend trying the following:
-
Update your filter lists to ensure you have our most recent updates: How do I manually update my filter lists?
-
View YouTube in Incognito or Private mode: Using AdBlock in incognito or private mode.
-
Sign out of YouTube, clear your browser’s cache, and sign back into YouTube.
-
Still seeing the wall? If you continue to see the wall after those steps, we'd be happy to take a look at your settings: How to provide your debugging information.
-
If you already have an open support ticket, reply to our last message and attach your debug information to your response.

If you don’t yet have an open support ticket, you can submit a new request with your debug information attached.
