How do I make sure AdBlock is up-to-date?

AdBlock, like other browser extensions, usually updates itself just fine as new versions are released. If AdBlock doesn't seem to be working, however, making sure it's up-to-date is a good first step in troubleshooting.

Chrome
  1. Enter chrome://extensions in the address bar
  2. Turn on Developer mode by ticking the check box
  3. Click Update extensions now

Firefox
  1. Enter about:addons in the address bar
  2. Click the gear icon at the top of the page to open the add-on tools menu
  3. Make sure that Update Add-ons Automatically is selected
  4. Select Check for Updates
Edge
  1. Enter edge://extensions in the address bar
  2. Turn on Developer mode by ticking the check box
  3. Click Update extensions now
Safari (Mac)
  1. Open the Mac App store.
  2. From the lefthand menu, click Updates.
  3. In the top right-hand corner, click Update All.
Safari (iOS)
  1. Open the App Store and check for pending updates
  2. If AdBlock is in the list, click Update
Samsung Internet (Android)
  1. Find AdBlock in the apps drawer and open AdBlock
  2. Tap Configure automatic updates
  3. Tap Always
Note: If you prefer to update over Wi-Fi, tap On Wi-Fi only and remember to connect to a wireless network at least once a week.
