Why am I seeing your payment page?

The AdBlock payment page may show up in a few different situations. Learn more about why it appears and what you can do about it.

When we update the extension

We update AdBlock about every two weeks. If you haven’t upgraded to Premium, the payment page will appear after an update to let you know about any new Premium features and offer you the option to upgrade.

Already have Premium?

If you still see the payment page after updates, make sure you’ve unlocked your upgrade in the extension: Unlock AdBlock Premium. Once activated, the page will stop appearing.

Not interested but still want to see what we're working on?

Simply close the page by clicking the “x” on the tab.

Don't want to see the update page again?

As of Version 6.32.0, you can use these steps to disable the page from appearing:

  1. Click on the AdBlock icon on your browser's toolbar. If you don't see it on your toolbar, make sure it's pinned: Show the AdBlock icon in your browser toolbar.
  2. Click on the gear icon on the pop-up menu.
  3. Click on the General tab.
  4. Deselect the option: Allow AdBlock to show occasional promotional messages.

When you first install the extension

Right after installing AdBlock, the payment page will appear. This is just to let you know about Premium and give you the option to upgrade.

  • Not interested? Simply close the page by clicking the “x” on the tab.
  • Already have Premium? You can log in to your Premium account directly from the enrollment page. For detailed instructions, follow the steps here: Unlock AdBlock Premium.

There's a problem with your browser

If our payment page opens every time you start your browser, that’s not intentional. Something is causing AdBlock to return to a "just installed" state or clearing your settings. For help fixing this, see: Seeing AdBlock's payment page more than once or AdBlock settings are changing.
